Cambridge Graphene announces new graphene ink patent application

Cambridge, UK 1 November, 2015 -- Cambridge Graphene Ltd. today announced that a new graphene patent application to produce commercial volumes of environmentally-friendly graphene inks, was filed on its behalf by Cambridge Enterprise, the commercialisation arm of the University of Cambridge. The patent application relates to a high-volume manufacturing process for conductive graphene inks and the IP rights are included in the licence already held by the company.

The new process enables commercial volumes of graphene inks to be produced and these are now available from Cambridge Graphene in a range of environmentally friendly, high conductivity, aqueous inks for printed electronics and other applications.

Mark Shepherd, the company’s CEO, said: “The new process is a real step forward in enabling highly conductive graphene inks to be delivered to the market in volume and at a competitive cost. Cambridge Graphene is now selling these new inks and we are looking forward to building the business, providing both inks and development solutions to customers.”
